About my English learning process

This semester I enjoyed english class, it wasn't heavy to attend. However, thinking about all the english classes I took during the career, I must say that it wasn't a really friendly process for me. Even when enslish languaje is important for us I'm not agree about english matter as a required subject for graduation. Also I think that concentrate 3 hours os english class just in one day is too much. Maybe half hour per day would be more enjoyable, and with more listening, like practicing listening excercises at some kind of english lab with computers plus just 45 minutes of class. I have thought about that many times and for me its like the way childrens do learn languajes, just socializing and listening constantly I don't believe something is going to change, at least not in university because other subjects are also introduced through socialization.

Here people do learn reading, chating with teachers, other students, people around, they also learn watching movies, listening to music, etc. Personally I really need to improve, I have serious problem with verbal times and I don't know enough vocabulary so I also have problems expressing myself just because I do not know too much words. Sometime when I see anglo speakers I have to use fake words o just the basic and I can't improve too much becauso I rarely see anglo speakers and even less chating with them. Anyway I'm sure I can do best and time will bring me the chance to take english as something really natural and easy. And at the same time for me is kind of sad, the fact that english languaje has become in something like the empire's languaje.

2014: Good and bad points (so far...)

This year has been a really good one, specially because I'm finally done with all the difficult subjects of my career. Also I moved to a new place and that makes me feel very happy. I live with a cat wich I love; this is my first time living with animals and now I think is an unmissable event in the little life of people.
I can't remind of any kind of terrible situation during this year but some fun and some no-sense situations. I have been trying to focus on the activities that really interest me, activities that I usually practice but outside of university.

About my career, I could say that I have been trying to put everything on the balance because I need to finish my career and I can't delay more. One of the things I need to do is getting a stable job so I can save some money for living and maybe for traveling. I'm not sure if I can do all that just with a modest wage but I'll try anyway next year. I'm also interested in continue to improve my concentration, and if that happens I'll be able to
practice activities that I like and also doing those wich I don't like so much, I mean without any kind of trouble. This is important to me because I always screw up if I'm not putting my heart into what I'm doing, specially if I'm bored or bound doing something.
That distresses me but if I do right everything will be ok.I would like to do everything not worried about schedules, times and staff like that. I want to live without those restrictions. Everything gets better when you feel you are always learning something.

Travelling in Santiago

I consider that here, in Santiago, there are some good transports. Anyway, transports in this city may need some arrangements. For example, subways works very well but that's not enough considering people needs; the subway just works until 23:30 and a lot of people must wait the bus like for 10 years. Also transport in chile is very expensive even when people earn a poor salary.

In general, life in Chile is expensive and there are those who profit at the expense of natural resources or the basic needs of people, like transport, wich in fact is concessioned. Working conditions are not the best and looks like things are not going to change.

Personally I hardly use public transport because I use mi bike unless click a wheel. What I notice is the fact that lot of people needs to travel almost every day because their job but at least in this city, bikeways are not the best so public transport is the main option for lot of people here.
Just in some places you can see some bikeways that actually work well like Providencia but that's just one case, so for most of people it's a problem in their lifes.
In places like Providencia, people are treated as consumers so they have a comfortably life because they have the money to pay for it.
Maybe some kind of big public transport network intended to articulate the different transport would be a way to introduce some change.

How green are you?

As far as I know people learn about enviroment at school, with their families or even watching ads but I don't believe people care enough about enviroment. This society is full of bad habits
Some stores gives you recyclable* bags if you buy there. I don't really have too much enviromentally friendly practices but I may start to separate the trash. I don't throw trash on the ground but always look for some dump or simply use my pocket. Ride my bike is one of the most important friendly practices for me, however I know riding my bike in this city isn't good for my lungs. Lately I have started to walk. I don't have a car but I don't need one. My bike is my major and much needed transport. I also like to plant and to take care about the plants of my garden.
I haven't joined to any kind of eco-organisation. However life has teach me how to pay attention on it. It's incredibly to think that plants are the oldest habitants of the planet and at the same time plants have been forgotten by the people who lives in this city. We need to be aware about enviroment, about other ways of life. We have to stop acting like some kind of compulsive predator. Society is full of needs just for people's comfort, that's why enviroment is so damaged.
